Malala Yousafzai, the world’s youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate recently appeared on the cover page of the famous international magazine British Vogue winning the hearts of many Pakistani’s, however, some of Malala’s views regarding marriage have bought her under quick criticism by many.
Malala spoke about her views on marriage and how her friends were all finding partners yet she wasn’t sure what she wanted.
She sounded a little confused as most girls at her age are, commenting on the subject at hand, she said, “You know, on social media, everyone’s sharing their relationship stories, and you get worried…If you can trust someone or not, [and] how can you be sure.”
Furthermore, she added, “I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?”
Malala gained a lot of criticism over her views on Twitter, many opposed to her comments and currently, #malala is in the top three Twitter trends of Pakistan.
People were quick to criticize her for her views:
So according to #Malala you can live with someone "without getting married" just as PARTNER, wearing Dupatta and promoting western thoughts is a reason why Pakistanis don't support this HYPOCRISY anymore! pic.twitter.com/hSxEftxK4P

Perhaps people don’t realize that she is a young girl who is confused about marriage just like many of us are, as we grow older our opinions change.
Youngsters today are raising questions about marriage and all the pros and cons associated with the institution of marriage in an ever-changing world. In our opinion live and let others live after all we all have a right to express our opinions.
