ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, prices of petroleum products will not change for the next 15 days.
According to the Finance Ministry, the price of petrol will remain at Rs 111.90 per liter, diesel at Rs 116.07 per liter, kerosene at Rs 80.19 per liter and light diesel at Rs 79.23 per liter.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had rejected the summary of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) for raising the prices of petroleum products, after which it was decided to maintain the prices.
The Prime Minister said that the government would go to any lengths to provide relief to the people.
OGRA had proposed an increase in petrol price by Rs 14.07 per liter, high speed diesel by Rs 13.61 per liter and kerosene by Rs 10.79 per liter.
