KARACHI: Investigations into the loss of billions of rupees to the national exchequer in the purchase of six aircraft on lease for PIA have been intensified.
According to the documents, Pakistan International Airlines lost more than Rs 11 billion in the lease of six aircraft. NAB Karachi has included 14 senior PIA officers in the investigation.
According to documents, former PIA CFO Nayyar Hayat, former director of marketing Rashid Aziz, former director of engineering and maintenance Maqsood Ahmed have been included in the investigation.
Apart from them, former Director Commercial Purchasing Anjum Mirza, former Director Flight Operations Qasim Hayat, former Director Procurement and Logistics Imran Akhtar have also been made part of the investigation.
Investigations have also been started against former director engineering and maintenance Maqsood Ahmed, former general manager Zulfiqar Ahmed, former chief engineer Aslam Tariq and others.
Investigating officers have also sent summons notices to all officers۔
