New Guidelines Issued for Travelers Coming to Pakistan

Only passengers with Pakistani citizenship from Category C countries will be allowed to enter Pakistan

KARACHI: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new guideline for passengers arriving in Pakistan under the Corona SOP. The ban on Category C countries, including India and South Africa, will remain in place.

According to the notification issued by the CAA, it has been decided to maintain the ban on flights to Pakistan from Category C countries. Talks are underway with UAE authorities to lift the ban on Pakistani flights, a Foreign Office spokesman said.

Only passengers with Pakistani citizenship from Category C countries will be allowed to enter Pakistan.

Pakistanis coming from Category C countries will have to undergo corona test 72 hours before the flight, while rapid antigen test will also be done at airports on arrival in Pakistan.

According to the CAA notification, 26 countries, including India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and South Africa, have been placed in Category C. CAA’s new travel advisory is valid until July 15.
