WEB DESK: Dilip Kumar, the greatest actor of the Indian subcontinent, has passed away.
Dilip Kumar’s family has confirmed the actor’s death on his Twitter account.

According to Indian media, 98-year-old Dilip Kumar was shifted to a private hospital in Mumbai due to difficulty in breathing yesterday, but despite all efforts, he died.
According to Dilip Kumar’s Dr. Jalil Palkar, the actor breathed his last on Wednesday at 7.30 am Indian time. It has been reported on Dilip Kumar’s Twitter account that he will be buried in a local cemetery in Mumbai.
Yusuf Khan, popularly known as Dilip Kumar, was born in 1922 in Khudadad Mohalla, Peshawar, whose ancestral home still exists there, which the provincial government has decided to turn into a national heritage museum recently.
Dilip Kumar, who received the title of Shanshah e Jazbat was also awarded the Dada Sahib Phalke Award, the highest award in Indian cinema, while he was awarded the Nishan-e-Pakistan by the Pakistani government in 1998.
Dilip Kumar dominated Indian cinema from the 1940s to the 1960s. He acted in more than 65 films. His famous films include Devdas, Sang Dil, Amar, On, Andaz, Niadur, Karma and Mughal Azam.
