ANKARA: A bus crash in Turkey has killed at least 12 people and injured 26 others.
According to the details, the bus was carrying Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Afghan nationals. Turkish officials saying that the bus crashed in Muradiya district of Van province on the Turkish border with Iran.
According to the local sources that the bus fell into a ditch after which it caught fire.
According to local sources, the identities of those killed in the accident could not be immediately ascertained but efforts are being made in this regard. The owner of the crashed bus has been taken into custody.
Turkey is an important transit route for migrants to Europe and most of the migrants are from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
