Pakistan, England to Play Third and Decisive T20 Match Today

Pakistan had defeated the host team in the first match of the series, while England had defeated Pakistan by 45 runs in the second match

WEB DESK: The third and final T20 International match of the series between Pakistan and England will be played today. The match will start at 10:30 pm Pakistan time at Old Trafford Manchester.

Pakistan had defeated the host team in the first match of the series, while England had defeated Pakistan by 45 runs in the second match.

The Pakistan cricket board also faced strong criticism over the team selected for the second match against England. Shoaib Akhtar said that he did not understand why Pakistan decided to bowl after winning the toss.

Pakistan has already lost to England in the three-match ODI series. By winning the last T20 match, the Green Shirts can not only win the series but also equalize the ODI series.

Led by captain Babar Azam, the national team has not lost a T20 series in 20 months but now his record is in jeopardy. Under his leadership, the Pakistan cricket team last lost the series against Australia in November 2019 in Australia.

The Green Shirts then went on to win the T20 series against Zimbabwe, South Africa and Bangladesh. Pakistan’s series against England in England was drawn one by one.

Last year, New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the series but the team was led by Shadab Khan in the absence of Babar Azam.

Today’s match is considered important not only for the team’s performance but also for Babar Azam’s record. Defeating England could help the national team equalize in the ODI series and maintain the captain’s unbeaten streak in the series.
