Sindh Govt Bans Sacrifice Inside or Near Homes on Eid-ul-Adha

The Sindh Home Department has directed the commissioners, deputy commissioners and police to take action against the violators of SOPs

KARACHI: The Sindh government has banned sacrifices inside or near homes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

A notification issued by the Sindh Home Department said that due to the increase in the corona virus, sacrifice is not allowed in urban residential areas.

An open field should be chosen for animal sacrifice and no gathering should be held while sacrificing animals. The Sindh Home Department has directed the commissioners, deputy commissioners and police to take action against the violators of SOPs.

The notification said that Eid prayer gatherings would also be held in an open space, and more than one Eid prayer gathering would be held at the same place at different times.

Those coming for Eid prayers should be subjected to thermal scanner, social distance should be maintained during prayers and sick persons, children and senior citizens should not be allowed to participate in Eid gatherings.

The Sindh Home Department has said that people offering Eid prayers should wear face masks and citizens should avoid shaking hands and hugging after Eid prayers.
