ISLAMABAD: The nationwide popular lip-syncing app TikTok has once again been blocked in Pakistan.
A press release issued by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) said that in light of the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, the PTA blocked access to TikTok app and website in the country.

According to a press release, this action was taken due to the constant presence of inappropriate content on the platform and the failure to stop such content.
It may be recalled that earlier the world famous lip-syncing app TikTok was also banned by the Sindh High Court.
