Wrestler Dies During Fight in UP’s Moradabad, Video Goes Viral

WEB DESK: A wrestler died during a fight in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media where a wrestler is seen breaking his opponent’s neck during the fight.

The incident took place on September 2 at an event in Faridpur village of Thakurdwara Kotwali area under the Moradabad police station.

In the video, Mahesh, a wrestler from Kashipur in Uttarakhand, was seen fighting Sajid, a local wrestler, in the match. As the match began, Sajid picked up Mahesh and slammed him on the ground while putting pressure on his neck. The crowd was seen cheering and clapping as Mahesh fainted.

After this, Sajid tried to wake up Mahesh as he remained unconscious on the ground. A few people gathered at the event also tried to lift Mahesh and moved his neck to fix it. However, Mahesh was left unmoved on the ground. He was later declared dead.

Mahesh’s body was handed over to his relatives. It is unclear whether Mahesh died due to his neck being broken during the fight or some other reason.
